Matthew Beniers Extends Goal Streak To Five Games
2 years agoSeattle Kraken center Matthew Beniers had two points in Tuesday's 4-3 victory over Buffalo, scoring in a fifth consecutive game and setting Justin Schultz up for the game-winning goal. The five-game goal streak marks a new franchise record. Beniers' goal-scoring run also includes four multi-point efforts, which have given his points tally a major boost. He has already topped the scoring charts among first-year players for most of the season, but the 20-year-old now also has a comfortable lead with 34 points in 40 games. Beniers' goal streak faces a massive test next against the league-leading Bruins, who are allowing only 2.13 goals per game
