The Columbus Blue Jackets acquired center Matt Duchene from the Ottawa Senators on Friday afternoon. Duchene and the Senators could not come to a contract agreement as he is an impending unrestricted free agent. He was one of the biggest fish on the trade market. Julius Bergman is also headed to the Blue Jackets while Vitali Abramov, Jonathan Davidsson, a first-round pick, and a conditional first-round pick are going to the Senators. Duchene has had a decent year considering the situation. He has 27 goals, 31 assists, and 12 power-play points through 50 games. Duchene's fantasy value gets a boost with the trade as he will play considerable minutes in a top-six role. Duchene remains an asset to own in all fantasy formats.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
