Matt Chapman's X-Rays on Hand Come Back Negative
Matt Chapman (hand) underwent X-rays on his right hand, which came back negative, following Sunday's 4-3 win over Atlanta. He said he jammed his fingers backward when he dove back to the bag, Shayna Rubin, beat writer for the Giants, reports. This is good news for Chapman and his fantasy owners, as it sounds like he avoided a trip to the injured list. Chapman was picked off first base when he sustained this injury, and with the Giants having an off day on Monday, he will have until Tuesday to recover and try to be ready for their three-game series in Colorado. Chapman is slashing .243/.360/.452 on the season with 12 home runs and 30 RBI thus far in the 2025 season.
