9 months agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Matt Chapman will start Tuesday's contest against the Cleveland Guardians on the bench. It's a normal day of rest after he went hitless in four at-bats on Monday with two strikeouts against Cleveland. Santiago Espinal will draw the start at the hot corner and will hit eighth for the Jays against Guardians rookie right-hander Tanner Bibee. The month of August hasn't gotten off to a great start for Chapman, as he's gone 6-for-28 (.214) with a homer, two doubles, five RBI and three runs scored in seven starts. None of the 30-year-old's season-long numbers really stand out at the third base position in fantasy, but he remains an everyday player for a strong offense, which counts for something.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
