7/3:Texas Rangers starting pitcher Martin Perez (elbow) is slated to make a rehab start for Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday. Perez has made several quality starts in the minor leagues of late, so he could be back in the team's rotation in short order if he comes out of Thursday's outing unscathed. However, the left-hander was sporting an embarrassing 9.67 ERA and 2.37 WHIP in his five starts this year before his injury. He's really only an option in AL-only leagues if he returns to the starting rotation. Perez was posting a weak 5.2 K/9 on top of it.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
