Martin Perez Throws Off Flat Ground Monday
7 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Martin Perez (arm) had a "touch-and-feel" throwing session Monday. He is not ready to throw from a mound or with a baseball glove on his right arm, having used a batting glove instead on Monday. Perez had a 9.67 ERA and 2.37 WHIP in 22 1/3 innings prior to hitting the disabled list. His poor performance may have been due to rushing back from injury over the offseason. However, for the time being, Perez is not worth stashing even on AL-only rosters, as he does not offer much upside for fantasy owners.
