Calgary Flames defenseman Mark Giordano took home the James Norris Memorial Trophy on Wednesday night at the NHL Awards Show. The award goes to the top defenseman during the regular season. He is the fourth player to take home the award at age 35 or older, too. Giordano posted 17 goals while setting new career highs with 57 assists and 74 points with a plus-39 rating, and he also added 21 power-play points and four shorthanded goals in his storybook season. His previous best for points was 56 during the 2015-16 season.--Daniel Dobish
