Marcus Smart 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoBoston Celtics guard Marcus Smart is one of the many players on the team who had to deal with health issues in 2017-18, so he'll be eager to play and put the injury worries behind him in the upcoming year. Smart missed 28 games last year, meaning that he's so far managed to play in less than 80 percent of regular season games during his four-year career, which is a worrying sign for fantasy owners, but still, he's a great guy to own. Smart will hurt your team's shooting percentages, but he'll get you nearly everything night in night out as a solid 10-4-5 guy. It's also a big plus that being a great defender, Smart is pretty much guaranteed to get very good minutes every game, even off the bench, as he'll be out to hassle to top guys from the opposition. Things will get crowded in Boston, with Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward healthy, but Smart is pretty much the heart of the Celtics, so his minutes around 30 should be safe.
