The Vegas Golden Knights won their second game in as many nights with a 3-0 win over the Nashville Predators. Goalie Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 19 shots to earn the shutout victory. Nashville had five power plays but could not solve Fleury or Vegas’ improved defense under new head coach Peter DeBoer. Chandler Stephenson scored a goal and now has 14 points in 25 games with Vegas after recording just four points in 24 games with Washington before his trade. Reilly Smith found the back of the empty net for his sixth goal in 10 games. He nine points over that stretch and is third on the team with 42 points in 54 games. He’s four goals away from tying his career-high of 25 set in 2015-16. Shea Theodore added an assist and now has seven helpers in the past six games. Fourth-line center Nicolas Roy also scored.
