Alongside Carlos Santana, Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Maikel Franco formed a lethal duo in the club’s 11-3 thrashing of the San Francisco Giants. The 25-year-old continues his red-hot streak with three more hits on Wednesday, including a solo home run in the fourth. Across his last 15 games, the Dominican native is hitting .339 but has gotten even hotter over the past week, hitting .414 with three home runs during the stretch. Like the rest of his teammates, Franco is thriving as the Phillies are making a push for first place in the NL East, just half a game behind the Atlanta Braves.--RDelgado
