Luis Severino Throws Bullpen Sunday
2 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino (lat) threw a "two-up" bullpen session on Sunday at Yankee Stadium, simulating an inning, sitting down and then returning for another inning. He suffered a right lat strain while working out after his March 21 start against the Tigers and was put on the 15-day injured list on March 30. Severino said he would be "blessed" to miss three to five starts during the regular season. He was hit hard in spring training, giving up 15 runs in 15 innings pitched. The 29-year-old right-hander has thrown three bullpen sessions in the last week now, so he should be getting close to starting a minor-league rehab assignment. Severino should be stashed in all fantasy leagues, as he has high-end fantasy potential when he's healthy.
