Luis Severino Punches Out 11 As Yankees Win Again
7 years agoIt wasn't quite as clutch as his complete-game victory against them earlier in this month, but it was worthy nonetheless. New York Yankees ace Luis Severino once again defeated the Houston Astros. Taking on the defending champions on Wednesday night in the Bronx, Severino went seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk. Both runs came off a home run in the fifth inning, as he also struck out 11. With the victory, the 24-year-old is tied for the most victories in the American League, sporting an 8-1 record with a 2.31 ERA. His next start is scheduled for Monday afternoon at Comerica Park against the Detroit Tigers.
