2 years agoThe Detroit Lions are signing defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn to a contract extension, according to a source. Glenn interviewed for head-coaching jobs with the Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals this offseason and is set to be extended for multiple years in Detroit. The Lions finished with the league's 32nd-ranked defense in 2022, but Glenn was set to return this year after overseeing some midseason changes to scheme and personnel that helped the team ultimately finish with their first winning record since 2017. They tied for 28th in scoring defense and finished last in yards allowed, but they went 8-2 in their final 10 games after a 1-6 start. The defense held six of their final 10 opponents under 20 points and ranked 11th in the NFL in scoring defense in the final 10 weeks.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
