Lions Believe Jameson Williams Will Play This Year
2 years agoDetroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell said "we feel like he's coming on" when discussing rookie first-round wide receiver Jameson Williams (knee). The Lions believe that he will play this season. "When he's ready, we'll get him up and ready to go," Campbell said. The 21-year-old is still recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in college in January, and he's not ready to come off the Non-Football Injury list just yet. But given his upside in a Detroit offense that has looked pretty strong so far in 2022, Williams is worth stashing in the majority of fantasy leagues if you have the extra roster space. His biggest hurdle will be securing enough playing time and targets down the stretch alongside a strong receiving corps that includes Amon-Ra St. Brown, DJ Chark and Josh Reynolds.
