Le'Veon Bell Expected To Miss A Couple Weeks
4 years agoNew York Jets head coach Adam Gase said "we could be looking at a couple weeks" with running back Le'Veon Bell (hamstring) on the sideline after he was injured in the Week 1 loss to the Bills. The Jets are prepared to start the 37-year-old Frank Gore, the league's third all-time leading rusher, in Week 2 against the 49ers. Gore is San Francisco's all-time leading rusher after playing for them from 2005 to 2014. Rookie La'Mical Perine is recovering from a sprained ankle and might not be ready this weekend. Against a stout 49ers Defense looking for their first win, Gore will be merely an RB4/flex option in deeper leagues, but he's not a bad waiver wire pickup if you own Bell or are already struggling at the position. In the passing attack, receiver Jamison Crowder is likely to benefit the most from Bell's absence.
