Lavonte David's Injury Is Minor
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David (hamstring), who was listed as questionable on last Friday's injury report for Super Bowl LV against the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 7, will play this Sunday in the big game. "You'd have to shoot him to keep him out of this game," head coach Bruce Arians said, deeming David's injury minor. With both safeties Antoine Winfield Jr. (ankle) and Jordan Whitehead (knee, shoulder) up in the air to play, the Buccaneers Defense needs all of their other starters to be on point in order to try and slow down the Chiefs high-scoring offense, especially after their secondary was torched by quarterback Patrick Mahomes and wide receiver Tyreek Hill in their meeting in the regular season. David is one of the best all-around linebackers in the NFL and will be key if Tampa is able to pull the upset against Kansas City.
