Nick Chubb Back at Monday's Practice
Nick Chubb (head) is back at Monday's training camp practice in a red non-contact jersey, according to Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle. Chubb went through the league's concussion protocol after taking a hard hit in practice last Tuesday, but he's apparently cleared the protocols and is back on the field this week. It's possible that the 29-year-old will be active for the team's second preseason game this Saturday against the Carolina Panthers, although the Texans could exercise caution when considering their backfield is already beat up. Starter Joe Mixon (ankle, foot) remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list and could be in danger of missing Week 1. Chubb did not look like a four-time Pro Bowler in his final season with the Browns following a devastating 2023 knee injury. At best, he's a WR4/5 flier for those that roster Mixon.
