9 months agoWashington Wizards guard Landry Shamet (calf) will be absent for a second consecutive game on Thursday versus Houston. The 27-year-old sniper suffered a left calf strain against Miami on Sunday, and it might take a while until he's healthy to play again. Shamet's absence gives the Washington bench around 16 extra minutes to share around. Jordan Poole is the leader of the second unit, even seeing 30-plus occasionally. However, Thursday's matchup isn't a good one for Washington's bench mob on paper, as only four teams have allowed fewer bench points than the Rockets in 2023-24.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
