Lance McCullers Jr. Picks Up Win In Return
4 years agoHouston Astros starter Lance McCullers Jr. returned to the mound in a regular season game for the first time since 2018 on Saturday, picking up a win against the Mariners. McCullers Jr. was sharp early and often, allowing only two runs on five hits through six innings. The 26-year-old threw 92 pitches and racked up six strikeouts. After missing all of 2019 after Tommy John surgery, today was a special day for McCullers Jr. The outing also gave fantasy owners some hope moving forward, especially for a player that posted a 9.96 K/9 rate the last time he was a full-time starter in 2018.
