Kris Medlen Surrenders Seven Runs Friday
7 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starter Kris Medlen gave up seven runs on nine hits and four walks across four innings in Friday's loss to the Astros. Medlen was making his first major league start since 2016, in place of the injured Robbie Ray. It did not go as Medlen envisioned, as the Astros got to him early, plating four runs on five hits in the first two frames. There's been no word on whether Medlen will keep his spot in the rotation or if long reliever T.J. McFarland will make a few spot starts. In any case, Medlen hasn't been a productive MLB starter in nearly three years and should not be on any fantasy rosters.
