Kirk Cousins Expected To Remain With Vikings This Year
1 year agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is expected to remain with the team this year and will not look to waive the no-trade clause in his contract, short of changing unforeseen circumstances. The Vikings are 1-4 entering their Week 6 game in Chicago against the Bears, but even if they fall further out of playoff contention, Cousins is expected to stick with the organization in 2023. The 35-year-old could then renegotiate a new deal for the 2024 season. Cousins is the QB4 in overall fantasy points at his position through five games, but his fantasy stock has taken a hit with All-Pro receiver Justin Jefferson (hamstring) on Injured Reserve for the next four games. Still, he's a strong QB1 play this weekend against a porous Bears defense.
