Kevin Plawecki Continues Successful Rehab Assignment
Kevin Plawecki made his first rehab assignment start on Wednesday, smashing a two-run home run to get both Mets fans and fantasy owners excited. He may not have crushed a longball for his encore on Thursday, but he did finish 1-for-3 while catching seven innings with Triple-A Las Vegas. Plawecki has been on the disabled list since April 11 due to a hairline fracture in his left hand, but it certainly looks as though he is fine now. He will likely need a few more rehab games before being called up the Majors, where he will likely be looking at some sort of platoon with Devin Mesoraco.
