Kevin Pillar’s Hit Streak Over At Four Games
7 years agoAs ice cold as Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar was in recent days, he had picked things up significantly. Pillar was on a four-game hitting streak, including multi-hit outings in his last three games, and he had picked up base knocks in six of his last seven games. He also went deep in three of those games. On Monday against the Tampa Bay Rays, that hot streak came to an end. Pillar saw his hitting streak snapped at four games as he finished 0-for-4. Normally, we wouldn’t read too much into one game, but Pillar has been known to abruptly start and stop his good streaks. We’d still bet on him to continue playing well before he slumps again, but let’s see how he rebounds on Tuesday.
