Ketel Marte Sitting Out Thursday
1 year agoArizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte is getting the day off on Thursday against the San Francisco Giants. In his absence, Geraldo Perdomo will line up at the keystone and will bat sixth against Giants left-hander Scott Alexander. It's just a regular breather for Marte, who is having a fantastic season for the Snakes and fantasy managers alike. In 395 at-bats, the 29-year-old Dominican switch-hitter is batting .291/.368/.511 with an .880 OPS, 18 home runs, 19 doubles, a league-high seven triples, 57 RBI, six stolen bases and 73 runs scored in 448 plate appearances and 102 games. In his last eight games, he's gone 9-for-32 (.281) with a homer, double, triple, two RBI and five runs scored. Marte is a must-start in fantasy when he's in the lineup.
