Kenny Pickett Could Play In Week 7
2 years agoPittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said that rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol, but his practice work will not be limited this week. "If he can play," Tomlin said, "he will play." The Steelers play on Sunday Night Football against the Miami Dolphins this week, so Pickett will have a little extra time to clear the protocol after getting knocked out of the Week 6 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 24-year-old first-rounder went 11-for-18 for 67 yards and a touchdown before leaving. The Steelers will get Mitch Trubisky ready to go just in case, but if Pickett clears the protocol, the team will likely stick with him as the starter against Miami.
