Kendre Miller Unable To Practice Wednesday
1 year agoNew Orleans Saints rookie running back Kendre Miller (hamstring) was a non-participant at practice on Wednesday. It's not a good sign for the rookie's availability to begin his first NFL campaign in a Week 1 matchup against the Tennessee Titans this Sunday. The third-round pick also was battling a knee sprain in the middle of August, so he's limping into the 2023 regular season and may not be able to take advantage of Alvin Kamara's three-game suspension early on. Even if Miller is able to return to practice later this week and suit up on Sunday, Jamaal Williams figures to leads New Orleans' backfield against Tennessee. If Miller can't get the green light to play in Week 1, Kirk Merritt figures to be Williams' backup.
