Keith Mitchell Returns To Action At John Deere Classic
1 year agoKeith Mitchell is set to make his first appearance since his T20 finish at last month's U.S. Open. So far this season, Mitchell has had a consistent performance, having only missed three cuts, with the most recent being at the RBC Canadian Open. He last participated in the John Deere Classic in 2021 but failed to make the cut, while his previous appearance in 2018 saw him secure a tie for seventh place. If Mitchell wants to have a chance to contend this week, he will need to improve his approach play from 100-150 yards, as over 30% of the approach shots came from this distance at last year's John Deere Classic. Unfortunately, Mitchell ranks only in the 45th percentile for proximity and the 24th percentile for greens in regulation on approach shots from 100-150 yards in the fairway. However, considering the weaker field this week, Mitchell could be a valuable addition to anyone's fantasy lineups.
