Justin Verlander Won't Be Available In Game 7
Justin Verlander will not pitch in Game 7 of the World Series against the Nationals on Wednesday. Verlander went five innings in the Game 6 loss on Tuesday, allowing three earned runs on two home runs while walking three and striking out three. Home runs were Verlander's kryptonite this year, and he allowed eight round-trippers in his six playoff starts this year. The hard-throwing right-hander wasn't at his best in the playoffs this year, posting a 4.33 ERA while walking 14 and striking out 38 in 35 1/3 innings. Despite his age, he should remain attractive to fantasy owners in 2020, although he armor might be starting to wear thin.
