Justin Turner Still Out Of Action
1 year agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Justin Turner (heel) remains out of the team's starting lineup on Friday against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays. Masataka Yoshida will continue to serve as the designated hitter while batting third, with Jarren Duran in left field and batting leadoff against Blue Jays right-hander Alek Manoah. Turner hasn't played at all this week due to a left-heel contusion, but he should be able to avoid the injured list as long as he can return at some point this weekend. The newly acquired Luis Urias is starting at the keystone for Boston and batting eighth in his debut with the club. Despite his age, Turner has been great for fantasy managers in 2023, mostly for his ability to drive in runs. UPDATE: Turner will be available off the bench on Friday, so he should definitely return to the starting lineup at some point this weekend, possibly Saturday.
