Justin Thomas lost strokes on approach and off the tee for the first time since the PGA Championship in May of 2021. The concerning part about this is that it came in his first start since withdrawing from the Travelers Championship citing a tweaked back. There are no reports confirming that he is still dealing with a nagging back, but the coincidence of such a relatively poor ball striking performance occurring after citing the injury is too much to ignore. --Byron Lindeque
