Justin Smoak Fails To Replicate Sunday’s Effort
7 years agoFantasy owners have been underwhelmed, to say the least, with Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Justin Smoak. After a breakout 2017, Smoak’s power has been sapped in 2018, leading many to believe his previous campaign was a fluke. Smoak came through with a huge effort in his last game on Sunday when he finished 3-for-5 with his ninth home run of the year, but he was unable to turn that into a sustained hot streak, as he finished 0-for-3 with two strikeouts against the New York Yankees on Tuesday. That’s not to say he won't pick it up moving forward, but the hopes of fantasy owners were temporarily dashed again when he wasn’t able to keep the good times rolling immediately.
