Justin Jackson Leads The League In Yards Per Carry
5 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Justin Jackson has become the new Austin Ekeler. Not the 2019 version of Ekeler that is blowing up and costing Melvin Gordon millions of dollars. The 2017 and 2018 version of Ekeler that worked as the change-of-pace back and put up gaudy YPC numbers while Gordon did the dirty work. Jackson is currently averaging a ridiculous 8.9 YPC, but he's only carried the ball 13 times in two games. He's also caught a couple of passes so far. The problem with a back in Jackson's position is that his success is unpredictable because he'll be entirely dependent on touchdowns, and he hasn't scored any yet. Owners in deep leagues can roll the dice on Jackson, but he's a home run play for now.
