Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Justin Faulk ripped home a power-play goal in the first period of Monday's 3-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings. Faulk also chipped in three shots, two hits, and two blocks in the contest. The 26-year-old has a goal and four assists through nine games this season. He still quarterbacks the first power-play unit which is a boon for his fantasy value. The Hurricanes are the fourth-highest scoring team in the Eastern Conference through the early portion of the season and Faulk projects to benefit from feeding the puck to the skilled forward core. He is a high-upside D3 for fantasy purposes.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
