4 years agoAtlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 14 against the Chargers. Interim head coach Raheem Morris said the team will decide at another time whether to shut Jones down for the rest of the season after he's now missed four games this season with the same ailment. It's the worst possible timing for Jones' fantasy managers, as the first week of the fantasy playoffs in most leagues is in Week 14. Calvin Ridley has WR1 upside as the team's top receiver with Jones out again, while Russell Gage should become a much more appealing RB3/flex against Los Angeles' defense. Christian Blake and Brandon Powell should also see a bigger share of offensive snaps with Jones sidelined for this contest. The Chargers Defense has been pretty stingy against opposing receivers this season, but Ridley is an absolute must-start, even when Jones is in the lineup. Gage had four catches for 51 yards and his second touchdown of the season last week against the Saints.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
