Josh Jung Expected To Resume Swinging In A Couple Of Days
6 months agoTexas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung (wrist) is back with the team on Wednesday in Milwaukee. Jung met with a surgeon in Phoenix on Tuesday and got good reports on the structural status of his bone. He's just dealing with soreness and doesn't have any damage, and he expects to start swinging a bat again in the next couple of days. The 26-year-old was dealing with some inflammation in his surgically repaired right wrist, which pushed back his activation from the 60-day injured list just a bit. Jung isn't going to be back in the big leagues by this weekend, but his return could come next week. If for some reason he's sitting on your league's waiver wire, pick him up immediately. Jung, a former eighth overall pick, was a first-time All-Star in 2023 when he hit 23 home runs and 70 RBI in 122 games.
