Josh Donaldson's Injury Not Expected To Be Serious
2 years agoNew York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said, "I don't think it's too severe" when asked about third baseman Josh Donaldson's (hamstring) injury. Donaldson was pulled from Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies with right hamstring tightness and could have an MRI exam on Thursday, but the injury doesn't appear to be very severe. The Yankees have an off day on Thursday, so there's a chance the 37-year-old could be back in the lineup as soon as Friday against the Baltimore Orioles. The three-time All-Star is off to a poor start in 2023 as he looks to bounce back from a frustrating season last year in his first season in the Bronx. Through four games, Donaldson has gone 2-for-15 (.133) with a solo home run, a walk and six strikeouts.
