Jose Quintana To Make Another Rehab Start Friday
1 year agoNew York Mets left-hander Jose Quintana (rib) will make his next minor-league rehab start on Friday for Triple-A Syracuse. If all goes well during the appearance, it could be his last rehab start before rejoining the Mets' starting rotation. Quintana hasn't pitched at all in the big leagues this year after having surgery on his rib cage back in March. The 34-year-old had the best season of his career in 2022 and currently has a 1.04 ERA with nine strikeouts and two walks in three starts covering 8 2/3 innings in the minor leagues on his rehab assignment. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect Quintana to be as good as he was last year, but he's certainly worth grabbing in mixed leagues if you're in need of pitching depth. With Quintana on the verge of returning, David Peterson could be in danger of losing his rotation spot.
