Jose Miranda's Arm Showing Improvement
2 years agoMinnesota Twins corner infielder Jose Miranda's (shoulder) throwing arm is showing improvement in camp and he's expected to start the Grapefruit League game on Tuesday at first base, according to manager Rocco Baldelli. Miranda has been the designated hitter in all 10 of his spring games after being shut down last month with right shoulder soreness. He's currently throwing at 120 feet, and the Twins want to see him play third base before spring training ends. The 24-year-old hasn't been affected by his shoulder at all when he swings a bat. Miranda impressed late in his rookie season in 2022 and will be a lineup regular for the Twins with above-average power and strong contact rates.
