Jose Altuve Hitless In Last 15 At-Bats
6 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve will head into Wednesday night's action looking for his first hit since August 30. He currently is mired in a 3-for-28 slump at the plate and is slashing only .271/.333/.390 over his last 118 at-bats. Typically that type of slash-line would be fine for most players but there is slight concern with the reigning MVP. He missed several weeks with a knee injury and it is fair to wonder whether Altuve simply is managing the injury at this point during the stretch run of the season. Altuve is too good to stay down for long but this current slump has gone on longer than most. Nonetheless, fantasy owners need to ride an elite player like Altuve and hope he snaps out of it soon.
