Jose Abreu Back In Lineup Against Twins
3 years agoChicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu (knee) is back in the starting lineup on Tuesday and is hitting third against Minnesota Twins right-hander Kenta Maeda. Abreu suffered a knee contusion on a hit by pitch on Sunday, but with the game being rained out on Monday, he won't end up missing a game. The 34-year-old is slashing .241/.321/.433 on the season with 12 home runs, 33 runs scored and 53 RBI in 261 at-bats. He's been especially cold in the last two weeks, though, going 5-for-36 (.139) with just a home run and four RBI, so perhaps fantasy managers will want to wait another day to get him back into their lineups. In eight career at-bats against Maeda, Abreu is hitting .250 with a solo home run.
