Jonathan Schoop Scratched From Lineup Sunday
Detroit Tigers second baseman Jonathan Schoop (hand) has been scratched from the lineup due to left hand soreness, according to Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press. Schoop was previously announced as getting the start at first base, but now Harold Castro will start at first and bat ninth against the White Sox. When healthy, Schoop has quietly been having a solid season so far, slashing .262/.317/.437 with 10 homers, 29 RBI and 24 runs scored. Managers should consider him day-to-day for now, and check for further updates after Sunday's game.
