Jonah Heim Gets A Breather On Monday
1 year agoTexas Rangers catcher Jonah Heim and outfielder Travis Jankowski will both be rested on Monday against the Tampa Bay Rays with left-hander Shane McClanahan on the mound in the series opener. Mitch Garver will do the catching and bat sixth, while Ezequiel Duran will start in left field and hit eighth. Robbie Grossman is the designated hitter and is batting seventh for Texas. Heim will get a break after catching all three games of the weekend series against the Cleveland Guardians. The 28-year-old switch-hitting backstop went 4-for-11 in those three games and is batting a strong .285 (86-for-302) on the year with 13 home runs, 21 doubles, 63 RBI and 46 runs scored in 82 games. The first-time All-Star has been extremely valuable at the shallow catching position in fantasy this year as the Rangers' primary catcher.
