Jon Gray Seems To Be Fine
6 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Jon Gray departed his start on Sunday early after suffering a cramp in his calf, but manager Bud Black told reporters on Monday that Gray appears to be fine now. Gray was in the midst of a pretty strong start as he had allowed three earned runs in 6 2/3 innings while striking out 10. Gray has gone through wild swings in the past as he seems to ride a fine line between dominance and destruction, but if he's on, he can be one of the most valuable pitchers in baseball. This early on the season, it's not clear if this is a sign of things to come or a one-off, but fantasy owners regularly take flyers on worse players than Gray. He'll host the dangerous Dodgers lineup at home this weekend, so it's probably not a great idea to start him unless an owner is a true believer.
