Toronto Maple Leafs center John Tavares had a special outing Sunday against Washington, taking the ice for the 1,000th time in the NHL. It was a productive outing as well, with Tavares playing his part in a 5-1 win with two assists. He set up a power-play goal for Michael Bunting and also had a helper when Morgan Rielly notched the game-winning goal. Tavares has totaled 30 assists for the whole campaign and is averaging exactly a point per game through 51 outings. Ahead of Wednesday's battle with Boston, he has been held off the score sheet just twice in his last 13 appearances.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
