4 years agoThe San Francisco Giants have been going with a Tyler Heineman/Chadwick Tromp tandem behind the plate with Buster Posey opting out of the 2020 season, but Giants players and fans are clamoring for Joey Bart, the No. 2 overall pick in 2018. Bart has drawn praise from the big league pitching staff and has shown impressive power with the bat in the minor leagues. There were reports two weeks ago that Bart was nowhere near a call-up, but it seems inevitable that the 23-year-old from Georgia Tech will be up in the majors in 2020. He's been working some at first base at the alternate training site, too, which would give San Fran more options. Bart is worth considering as a stash in deep mixed leagues for his impressive raw power at the catching position.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
