St. Louis Blues goaltender Joel Hofer made a winning start to his NHL career on Thursday, saving 23 of 26 shots against San Jose in a 5-3 triumph. At 21 years and 97 days old, Hofer is now the youngest ever goalie in franchise history to pick up a win on his debut. He allowed a power-play goal and a short-handed tally in the opening period, but then got very good goal support from the team and rolled to victory. Hofer was thrown into action because the Blues were finishing off a back-to-back set with backup Ville Husso (COVID protocol) unavailable. He won't be a factor in fantasy hockey for a while, but it's a nice story and it will give him a huge boost in confidence.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
