Jerry Jones Not Concerned With Cowboys' Red-Zone Struggles
1 year agoDallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones isn't too concerned about the team's early red-zone woes through three weeks of the season. "I think the thing we need to zero in on is when we get that ball down in there close, we've got to get touchdowns," Jones said. "And that's probably across the board over these last three ball games. We got a long time to go in this season. We got a lot of room to really adjust and correct these things. While it is something to note, it's not a long-range concern." After scoring touchdowns in three of four red-zone trips in Week 1, they went 2-for-6 in Week 2 and 1-for-5 in the upset loss to the Cardinals in Week 3. Their 15 red-zone trips lead the NFL, but they've scored TDs on just six of those red-zone possessions. Dallas' 40% conversion rate is tied for fourth-worst in the league.
