Javonte Williams Fumbles In End Zone In Second Preseason Game
3 years agoDenver Broncos rookie running back Javonte Williams carried the ball seven times for 20 yards in the second preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday. Williams also caught one of his two targets in the passing game for five yards, but he fumbled in the end zone (Broncos recovered) to squander his first chance at a touchdown in the NFL. While the fumble is disappointing, Williams has broken off some nice gains in his first two preseason games and should see plenty of touches next to Melvin Gordon III in the regular season. The North Carolina product could see even more touches if Gordon's injury lingers into Week 1, and most fantasy pundits believe that Williams will initially lead this backfield in 2021. Draft him as a low-end RB2/high-end RB3 with upside.
