Jasson Dominguez Working Out In Outfield
10 months agoNew York Yankees outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez (elbow) was seen working out in the outfield on Monday at the team's minor-league complex. Dominguez had Tommy John surgery in late September and isn't expected to make his debut this year until sometime this summer, according to general manager Brian Cashman. Still, it's a good sign to see the 21-year-old in the outfield this early in the spring. The Yankees will most definitely ease Dominguez back in on defense once he eventually does make his 2024 debut, so he may not see time in center field in the Bronx until later on. In his first 33 plate appearances in the big leagues in 2023, he went 8-for-31 (.258) with four homers and seven RBI. The biggest reason for skepticism with Dominguez in single-year leagues in 2024 is that his surgery was to his throwing elbow.
