Jarvis Landry Says He'll Play In Week 8
3 years agoCleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry (knee) said he will "for sure" be able to play in Week 8 against the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers after suffering a new knee injury in last Thursday's win over the Denver Broncos. The new injury stems from a sprained MCL he suffered in his left knee Sept. 19, which kept him out for four games. Landry is expected to return to practice on Thursday after missing Wednesday's session, so barring any further setbacks, he should be able to play on Sunday. The 28-year-old was targeted a season-high eight times by backup quarterback Case Keenum last week, but he caught just five passes for 37 yards. The good news is it looks like Baker Mayfield (shoulder) will return, but Landry is more of a WR4/flex option while dealing with knee issues and with just 10.6 yards per catch in three games in 2021.
